Interlaboratory Application of Raman CO2 Densimeter Equations: Experimental Procedure and Statistical Analysis Using Bootstrapped Confidence Intervals

چکیده
Raman spectroscopy has been used extensively to calculate CO 2 fluid density in many geological environments, based on the measurement of Fermi diad split (Δ; cm –1 ) spectrum. While recent research allowed calibration several densimeters, there is a limit interlaboratory application published equations. These two classes values for same measured Δ, with deviation 0.09 ± 0.02 g/cm 3 average. To elucidate influence experimental parameters we propose bottom-up approach beginning new equation, evaluate possible instrument-dependent variability induced by conditions. Then, develop bootstrapped confidence intervals estimate existing equations move statistical analysis from sample-specific population level. We find that densimeter calibrated spectra acquired similar spectral resolution lying within standard errors and are suitable application. The confirms at densities equivalent 95% confidence, each does have applicability, statistically defined minimum Δ value, below which error calculated too high.

Using Bootstrapped Confidence Intervals for Improved Inferences with Seemingly Unrelated Regression Equations
The usual standard errors for the regression coe cients in a Seemingly Unrelated Regression model have a substantial downward bias. Bootstrapping the standard errors does not seem to improve inferences. In this paper Monte Carlo evidence is reported which indicates that bootstrapping can result in substantially better inferences when applied to t-ratios rather than to standard errors. 3
متن کاملGraphical Presentation of a Nonparametric Regression with Bootstrapped Confidence Intervals
Parametric regression (least-squares) techniques are used to estimate a statistical model that attempts to predict a variable based on one, or more, other variables. The model is required to have a specified algebraic form such as a straight line, a parabola, or an exponential curve. An example would be predicting a persons annual income based on their age, years of schooling and gender using a...
متن کاملA New Method for Rule Finding Via Bootstrapped Confidence Intervals
Association rule discovery in large data sets is vulnerable to producing excessive false positives, due to the multiple inference effect. This paper first sets this issue in precise mathematical terms and presents some analytical results. These show that a common concern regarding effects of filtering is not as problematic as had been previously thought. The analytical results also shed new lig...

متن کاملImage Segmentation Based on Statistical Confidence Intervals
Image segmentation is defined as a partition realized to an image into homogeneous regions to modify it into something that is more meaningful and softer to examine. Although several segmentation approaches have been proposed recently, in this paper, we develop a new image segmentation method based on the statistical confidence interval tool along with the well-known Otsu algorithm. According t...
